Aerospace Certification (Graduate Certificate)

at Kansas State University

About the Course

The Graduate Certificate in Aerospace Certification (GCAC) is designed to provide post-baccalaureate students employed in the aviation/aerospace industry, the requisite knowledge required to fulfill various professional roles within companies and organizations that span the industry. These include Aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs otherwise known as Tier I suppliers), Aerospace industry Tier II and Tier III suppliers, Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Facilities (MROs), and other organizations. This certificate will provide these professionals a basic and intermediate level of understanding of the FAA’s product certification processes and continued airworthiness certification process along with supplemental certification processes and other regulatory requirements associated with bringing products to market in this industry. This knowledge is increasingly important as the industry moves to integrate novel technologies into the National Airspace System (NAS) such as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) given the rapid rate of retirement of professionals with this level of knowledge.
