About the Course

The BA program in social justice and human rights at ASU's New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences spans both the social sciences and the humanities to prepare students to meet the challenges of social justice and protection of human rights in local, national, international and global contexts. Coursework prepares students to serve as advocates for alleviating political, economic and social inequality. The program introduces students to principles and practices of everyday humanitarianism, multimedia advocacy, and theories and practices of social justice and human rights.
