Medical Biochemistry with Research Placement BSc(Hons)

You’ll gain a firm foundational knowledge in the molecular and cellular aspects of biology and the principles of drug action. In addition to learning theory, you’ll gain practical hands-on experience in the labs in our new £18.2 million facilities. Some of the core modules you’ll learn on this course include: Biochemistry Molecular Biology Research Skills You’ll also be gaining real-world experience by participating in a compulsory and supervised research placement in your area of interest, available after your second year. This placement year allows you to put your knowledge and skills to the test at sites in the UK or abroad. The skills you’ll gain on the research placement year will go a long way in your post-graduation plans. This course has advanced accreditation by the Royal Society of Biology, reflecting the compulsory placement year in research and allowing you to apply for associate membership upon completion.
