Medical Genetics BSc(Hons)

On this course, you’ll gain a firm foundational knowledge on the application of genetics to medical and biological sciences research. In addition to learning theory, you’ll gain practical hands-on experience in the labs in our new £18.2-million facilities. Some of the core modules you’ll cover on this course include: Molecular and Cellular Biology Genomes and Evolution Applied Molecular Genetics You’ll also be gaining real-world experience by participating in an optional supervised work placement in your area of interest, available after your second year in the course. This placement year allows you to put your knowledge and skills to the test at sites in the UK or abroad. This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, too, allowing you to apply for associate membership upon completion.
