About the Course

The LLM in International Environmental Law offers you the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge in the field of environmental law, natural resources management and sustainability issues at the domestic, regional, and international levels. You will study key legal concepts in environmental law, principles of environmental regulation, discuss essential elements of environmental protection and sustainable development and analyse important issues in global environmental law and regulation. Some of the key topics covered in this LLM include corporate environmental governance, global environmental institutions, and their role in promoting sustainable development, ecocide, anthropocentrism, and the rise of ecocentrism. The syllabus examines key aspects of the oil and gas industry and the environment, including constitutional environmental rights.
