On this BEng (Hons) degree course you will acquire an in-depth understanding of the scientific principles and advanced design technology as well as the problem-solving and management skills required to be a successful mechanical engineer. Institution of Mechanical Engineers accreditation means your degree is a stepping stone towards registration as a Chartered Engineer. However if you perform particularly well in the first two years, you can transfer onto the MEng programme, which fully qualifies you to register.
