Elementary Education, B.S.E.
About the Course
Our Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) in Elementary Education (ELE)degree offers dual teaching certificates including both Early Childhood Education (ECE)and Elementary Education (ELE). Traditional and experiential teaching methods and practical application opportunities in Early Childhood and Elementary school settings prepare prospective teachers for their own future classrooms. UA’s Early Childhood (P-grade 3) and Elementary Education (Kindergarten-grade 6) certification programs are proud of our expert faculty and friendly, helpful staff. Small class sizes (approximately 25) allow students and faculty to engage in hands-on, research-based teaching methods in all major disciplines. Our students begin clinical practice in local schools during the first semester in the Teacher Education program and continue each following semester in the practical teaching field while simultaneously learning in their teacher education classes. We provide students with a wide variety of experiences in different grade levels and school settings over time, and equip them with knowledge, teaching skills, and professionalism needed for successful full-time teaching careers.
