About the Course
As a pharmacy technician you will work very closely with pharmacists to achieve optimal drug therapy outcomes for patients. Your work can include the technical aspects of prescriptions such as performing product preparation and distribution functions, health promotion and education such as medical device training or coordination of health clinic days, med reconciliation and inventory control. Pharmacy technicians work in collaboration with the pharmacy team and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care. Fleming College’s Pharmacy Technician program has been awarded the status of Full Accreditation by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAP). Graduates of programs accredited by CCAP, are well-prepared and eligible to write the national pharmacy technician qualifying examination.
