Coding skills associate certificate

at University of The Fraser Valley

About the Course

Coding skills are in high demand. More and more, our daily activities rely on software apps and computing technology. Businesses need strong coders who can help develop solutions to grand-challenge, complex, and modern-day problems. Coders are also an asset in specialized computing fields: AI, Big Data, mobile technologies, and web services. The Coding Skills associate certificate is open to people with at least two years of computing education. It's designed to boost your existing skills, so you'll need to show a portfolio of your work to be admitted. In the Coding Skills associate certificate, you'll complete five advanced software development courses. You'll tackle subjects such as algorithm design, software engineering, and coding best practices. One of your courses will be a three-credit field practicum experience. Some of our students have completed their practicum experiences within tech giants such as Amazon.
