About the Course
We introduce students to the structural causes of war and violence and provide insights into the many peaceful initiatives that challenge institutionalized and interpersonal violence. Langara College sits on the unceded and ancestral territory of the Musqueam people; Peace and Conflict Studies engages with the deep meaning and impact of Canada’s colonial past and present. Reconciliation of this past is one example of the peace-building that is a core element of our program.
