Our Aesthetics BA (Hons) / FdA degree provides an in-depth, science-led exploration of the theories and principles underpinning the rapidly evolving field of non-surgical aesthetics. With an emphasis on theory and a smaller proportion of practical application, the programme is designed to give you an extensive understanding of the science behind aesthetic treatments and their use, preparing you for graduate-level roles in a competitive and growing industry. You will study the key scientific, ethical and cultural frameworks that shape aesthetics today, including skincare science, skin health, ageing theories, and the physiological processes that inform cosmetic interventions. While you will gain insight into applications such as laser and light technologies or chemical peels, the focus remains on developing a critical, research-driven perspective to equip you with the professional knowledge and confidence valued by employers.
