About the Course

The Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education is designed to prepare art teachers who will understand the current methodologies and practices of art instruction for grades pre-school through high school. Additionally, student teachers are introduced and challenged by the most current theoretical and philosophical trends in the world of education. Art education students gain real world experience through direct observation and other practica as well as a full semester of internship. Upon completion of the planned courses of study, the art education graduate will be deemed "highly qualified" by the standards set forth in recent national initiatives.
