About the Course

The Secondary Education - English/Language Arts program supports the JSU learning-centered mission through the development of highly qualified teachers who are well-prepared to instruct a diverse student population through the development of 21st Century knowledge, skills, and dispositions. Successful completion of this program, earning a passing score on the edTPA and the state-required Praxis Subject Assessments, a student will be eligible to apply for the baccalaureate level Professional Certification to teach English/Language Arts in grades 6-12.
