Iwatani Gakuen Yokohama IT Business College (formerly Iwatani Gakuen Techno Business Yokohama Childcare College) opened a two-year Japanese language program and a one-and-a-half-year Japanese language program in 2001, and began offering Japanese language education to international students. Today, the number of international students enrolled, including those in the specialized course, exceeds 650, making it the college with the largest number of international students enrolled among all vocational schools in Kanagawa Prefecture. Students come from a diverse range of nationalities, and every year, many students from around the world, primarily from Asia, enroll. In addition to Japanese language education, Iwatani Gakuen also places emphasis on learning about Japanese culture through numerous events, such as field trips and social gatherings, allowing students to enjoy life in Japan.
